Jr. Software Automation Engineer (PLC/SCADA)

Responsibilities

  • Technical support for the Sales & Project Manager and to the Automation Manager in the determination of products, materials and estimation of time spent in quotation phase.
  • Determine the technical design, functional analysis and specifications in consultation with the client, Technical Lead and/or Project Manager.
  • Designing, programming and documenting PLC and SCADA solutions.
  • Programming, testing and documenting Robotics solutions in consultation with the supplier and customer.
  • Consultation with Hardware Engineers and/or electrical technicians for the integration of hardware and software solutions.
  • Organising and supervising the test phase (FAT/SAT) and preparing the necessary reports and documentation.
  • Commissioning the solution.
  • Supporting and training the client’s Operators and Engineers.
  • Supporting the Sales & Project Manager in technical discussions with customers.

Hard skills

  • You have a strong interest in and good knowledge of industrial electrical applications.
  • You have a bachelor or master degree in Industrial Automation or have equivalent skills through experience.
  • Your knowledge of automation and visualisation solutions is not limited to Siemens products (S7, Tiaportal , WinCC) and you see other applications and products (GE, Rockwell, Beckoff…) as an opportunity to broaden your knowledge.
  • You have experience with robotics or the interest and ambition to learn these programmes (Kuka, ABB, GE Fanuc).
  • You have experience in an electrical drawing programme and can draw and design in it (ePlan, Autocad, Inventor).
